In two years, you could be an investment manager. An established performer with a wealth of experience already behind you, and a varied, responsible and rewarding career ahead.
Of course by that point you’ll have experienced the variety, pressure and expectations that come with a challenging graduate development programme. You’ll have passed tough exams, created networks of influential contacts and received the support of experts in this field. But what exactly does this development programme entail?
Two years, two investment programmes
A huge variety of sectors and markets await you. Whilst the underlying principles of research and fund management are the same, here, we offer two graduate programmes - equities (including UK, European, US, Japanese, global developed and emerging markets) and bonds (including money market and cash, government and corporate bonds).
During your two year programme, you'll be involved in company analysis, research and portfolio construction, risk and desk support. And you'll work alongside a team of leading fund managers across a variety of markets.
There's also the opportunity to gain exposure in other departments such as sales and marketing, operations, investment services, compliance, performance measurement & risk and property, to provide you with an overview of the business and how everything fits together.
Individual support
You'll be assigned a mentor who will support you throughout the programme. And because of the small number of graduates we recruit, this mentor (alongside your line manager) will have significant time to devote to your training and development.
Professional qualifications
We'll give you every support to gain professional qualifications - in this case the Investment Management Certificate and the Chartered Financial Analyst programme. Other formal training is tailored to each individual's needs - this will be a mix of in-house and external courses.
