We manage portfolios within a robust, structured and repeatable process, and this allows us to aim to achieve excellent performance across a range of fixed interest strategies with varying risk profiles. Below are examples of some of our high alpha strategies.

Gilt Plus FTA All-Stocks Benchmark + 1.0% p.a. Graeme Caughey Primarily invests in UK gilts but can enhance returns through investment in other bonds such as sovereign, government, public and supranational issuers and in investment grade corporate bonds. This strategy can invest up to 30% off benchmark into these bonds and hedging of currency is at the discretion of the manager.
Sterling Bond Plus iBOXX Sterling All Maturities Index Benchmark + 1.5% p.a. Graeme Caughey Invests predominantly in UK government bonds as well as sterling denominated investment grade corporate bonds and sovereign, government and supranational issues.
Absolute Return Bond Sterling LIBOR Benchmark + 3.0% p.a. Neil Murray Aims to provide positive long-term capital returns regardless of market conditions. Invests in a portfolio of money market and fixed income assets. We aim to add value by tactically investing in three alpha strategies: credit, rates and currencies. Derivative contracts can be used to either enhance upside returns or limited downside falls.
High Yield 50% Merrill Lynch European Currency Original Issue High Yield Index (GBP) 45% CSFB Developed Countries (USD) 5% JPM EMBI Diversified Benchmark + 1.25% p.a. Steve Logan Aims to provide a total return by investing in a portfolio of predominantly sub-investment grade bonds. These bonds will typically be issued by companies based in Europe and America. The Fund may also invest in investment grade corporate bonds, government bonds, equities, money market instruments, deposits, cash and near cash, warrants, convertibles and units in collective investment schemes.
