Andrew joined SWIP in November 2009 as Interim Director of Fixed Income with responsibility for overseeing the Fixed Income aspects of the asset transfer from Insight to SWIP - which saw the migration of £20 billion of fixed income assets.
In his new role as Investment Director, Andrew will be a member of the Fixed Income leadership team and will report directly to Mark Connolly, who was appointed Director of Fixed Income in January 2010. His new role will comprise three important areas of SWIP’s Fixed Income business; operational efficiency, money market funds and active currency management.
Mark Connolly, Director of Fixed Income at SWIP, said:
“I am delighted that Andrew has accepted a permanent role within SWIP’s Fixed Income team. He made a strong contribution to the success of the recent asset migration project and I am confident that Andrew will continue to add significant value as we drive our established fixed income offering forward.”
Andrew Tunks comments:
“SWIP’s 27-strong fixed income team has an excellent performance track record across its cash and fixed income product range and I look forward to continuing my work within the team. There is a wealth of opportunities ahead and I will work closely with Mark, and the rest of the Fixed Income leadership team, to ensure that we maximise our performance capabilities and continue to provide the best possible service to our clients.”
