Recruitment process

At Scottish Widows Investment Partnership we consider our people to be our “assets” – assets, every bit as significant as those we manage for our clients.

It is important to us to ensure that we take time with potential employees so that we get to know you, but equally so you have a chance to find out all about SWIP, our focus, our culture and what it’s really like to work at SWIP.

The first part of the process is to attend an interview, this is in two stages, initially biographical based, providing you with the opportunity to run through your CV and background, highlighting your relevant experience in relation to the role you applied for. Secondly we will complete a competency based interview. A competency based interview is a standardised selection tool which asks you to chat through examples of your previous experience which relates to criteria deemed important for that particular job.

The next stage of the process will depend on the role that you are applying for, it will allow you to meet managers within the department or if relevant to the opportunity present on a relevant industry topic.
