Neil Murray

Neil leads SWIP’s highly regarded corporate bond team and is also a member of the fixed income policy group. In addition, he co-manages the Absolute Return Bond Fund and used to manage a number of investment grade corporate bond portfolios. He is also responsible for researching corporate bond strategy.

Before joining SWIP in September 2000, Neil spent two years in the Investment Risk Control Unit at Scottish Widows.

Neil holds a BSc in Pure and Applied Chemistry and a Diploma in Accountancy from the University of Strathclyde. He also holds the CFA qualification.

Juan Valenzuela

Juan co-manages the absolute return fixed income funds. As part of the credit team he looks after the industrial sector. In previous years Juan contributed to the management of the gilts, index-linked and the absolute return bond funds, as well as providing coverage for the currency model.

Prior to joining SWIP in 2006, Juan was a Yield Analyst with JP Morgan Chase.

Juan holds a BA (Hons) degree in Business Studies and a Bachelor degree in Law from Carlos III University. He is also a CFA charter holder.
