Gregor MacDonald

Gregor joined SWIP in 2002 and is responsible for managing the mid cap sector (all companies, inc AIM > £300 million - < £1 billion).

Before joining SWIP, Gregor worked at Standard Life for 14 years as an investment director on the UK smaller companies desk. He was responsible for managing £350 million of assets for Standard Life’s UK smaller companies corporate pooled pension funds.

Prior to this, Gregor was employed with Ketchen & Stevens as a management consultant, responsible for providing an audit of current business methods, management information systems and departmental cost analysis.

After graduating with a civil and structural engineering degree in 1980, Gregor spent eight years as a civil engineer. Gregor holds an MBA from the University of Edinburgh, and is an associate of the UK Society of Investment Professionals.

Andrew Paisley

Andrew joined SWIP in 2011 and is responsible for managing the mid cap sector (all companies, inc AIM > £300 million - < £1 billion). Before joining SWIP, Andrew worked at Kempen where he was responsible for managing Euro 400m of pan-European small cap assets.

Prior to this Andrew spent seven years at Edinburgh Fund Managers (subsequently Aberdeen Asset Management) where he was responsible for managing £500m of UK smaller companies assets including the Dunedin Smaller Companies Investment Trust.

After graduating with an honours degree in law from Edinburgh University in 1994, Andrew spent 3 years with a leading accountancy firm gaining his Chartered Accountancy qualification.
