The SWIP Property Trust is an authorised unit trust that can invest in a range of direct property and equity-related investments including approved property derivatives.
- The Trust is a medium to long-term investment of five years or more and invests primarily in the UK.
- It aims to provide investors with a total return consistent with a balanced commercial property portfolio.
- It is one of the few unit trusts that can directly invest up to 100% in commercial property.
- It invests primarily in the UK but may also include US or continental European property vehicles, such as property-related securities.
- Most of the trust’s £1billion* in assets are invested in the main commercial property sectors: retail, offices and industrial.
- Gerry Ferguson, the Trust’s Manager, has over 30 years’ experience managing property portfolios.
